Why are more people needed as volunteers?

Today more people with in our community are answering the call to volunteer to help those who are less fortunate. In the fall of 2008 when the financial market crashed it left many people including small business without income to provide for their families the basic of necessities this turn of events had a disastrous effect on many high school students and their families making it far more difficult for parents to purchase the needed items for prom and graduation. These events are the most important milestones in the life any junior or senior high school student.

Why volunteer as a student advisory board council leader?

Cinderella’s Closet & More of Atlanta Inc. wants to instill a love of volunteering in high school and college students. Young people who engage in community service are more likely to continue serving through their adult years. We need new volunteers for the 2010-2011 prom season to help bring about more awareness of our organization services in the community and in local high schools. please click here for the student board application

If you are a high school or college student having this type of volunteer work on your resume’ or college application it can put you in a positive standing for receiving more scholarship awards. Studies have show that giving back to the community boost your health and give a feeling or sense of accomplishment and possibility make new friends. May lead you to choose a career in human services or perhaps start your own non-profit organization.
